Our aim was to build a memorable and intelligent brand identity that stands visually apart.
The name Harappa packs a punch, so we wanted the Logo and branding to visually recall the technologically advanced civilization - a symbol of excellence in planning, efficiency and extraordinary level of mass standardization.
A digital university, the 3D built form is a stand in for the virtual campus, echoing the Harappan courtyards as a place to meet, interact and exchange knowledge. The double brackets represent the duality of the physical and digital worlds that the University inhabits and nesting them describes the parallel knowledge/skill Harappa will add.
The palindromic nature of the form is symbolic of multiple perspectives or being able to read it from all sides, while the symmetry and square form are indicative of balance of learning and doing. The logo is meant to invoke a building block for both professional and individual growth.
