A house was designed within a compound of houses for an extended family. The design was minimal and contemporary derived from the existing residence - a modernist design within the realm of critical regionalism.
The front of the house was elevated from the street outside and the rear land directly into the garden which is common to two other houses in the compound.
Some surfaces of the residence were designed as brightly coloured elements contrasted with expose concrete surfaces. Large glazing surfaces were designed deeply inset within the volumes of the house.
